I'm sorry but that's not even slightly desi. A true desi parent would have questioned you for 5 hours about who the girl was. And then told you never to hang out with girls until marriage. Honestly, people.

Pardon, Jattrisky, it is a very credible scene. Not so obviously predictable as the one you evoke, but in America? Yes. This poster's parents have adjusted to the mores here, up to a point. They still don't recognise the easy familiarity that unmarried men and women here enjoy, never mind the sort of promiscuity that is the norm.
