Same here, down to the brother and school part. Except..my mom is coming back in a couple of days...after attending my nanima's funeral. =/ But I understand. My dad is NOT appreciative at all. Instead my mom hears about how I don't do anything because my dad likes to think he takes care of us. But I love my papaji, so all iz well. =D

It's your mom's fault that she has to do all the chores. If she wasn't so sexist then she wouldn't have to. Your brothers and you should all help out around the house and maybe even your dad if your mom works too. She's the one who put different standards for men and women but is upset when it's applied to her and she's still not willing to change things for the next generation because she wants women to suffer the way she did. Having all the members of a family help can be even better/easier than having a maid help.
