Yo Crazyman, my grandma is cooler than your grandpa. She dropped out when she was in 3rd grade. Anybody can beat that? BTW, her dad passed away when she was a toddler. I think that's why she had to drop out earlier than normal. Desi 123. Back in desiland, all the grandparents (or great grand parents to some) never went to college. That is not to imply illiteracy or poor wealth. Back in the day, education was economically unnecessary. Having to drop out was socially acceptable and even a norm (unlike today). If you look at America in the 70's, having a bachelors degree was like having an PHD then. It is only the last two decade that you need a masters or above to have some kind of value in your education. The same thing for Pakistan or India (or others), education was someone who passed a few grades in schools back then. Now, in those countries, a bachelors is the line of literacy (i think). I don't know anything else about those countries right now, so don't ask. BTW, for anyone making judgments from whether someone's grandparents finished school or not, ask your own grandparents or great gps. It is not the same "dropout" as we know today.
