Today, I read PakiGirl's story, and started banging my head against various loose and fixed objects around me. When will things change? Everyone knows how the 'Goraas' have their own comically materialistic selfishness, but look, the 'Desis' have their own distinctive kind too. When will Desi parents fear God and stop using their girls to advance their interests and status?! Or do they really think that their children are incapable of keeping their pants on until marriage? Have they raised their girls with so little character that they have to be safely married off as soon as they are of age to reproduce?
