hahaha my mom used to do the same with my eid money LOl..but not anymore.lol and u know sometimes my grandma would hand her our money and she wouldnt even tell us.

I am Pakistani but i did this tradition once when i was young and got 200 dollars for it. The lady who told me to tie the rakhi on her son's (4) arm was my mums friend. I also didnt keep the money because i was like 5 at the time. :)

my parents never let me accept any Eid money, and if some aunty or uncle managed to force it upon me, my parents would just snatch it from me, saying they needed it more, and use it on gas or something.
