Today, I was randomly checked at the airport. After searching my parents' bags and finding a jar filled with spicy sauces, he refused to let us through as he thought it might be a toxic liquid. After an hour of argument, an Indian official came and tried to explain it. He got fired and we are headed home. TMDL

Mr. C-L, What tipped you off -why do you think this story is fabricated? What would motivate anyone to concoct a purely incendiary tale of persecution?

Lol Mr. Fettslaab, did you really ask that? Let me ask you this- what motivates a teenager to do drugs? What motivates you to spread your thoughts? What motivates someone to donate to charity? The pure essence of motivation includes reasons pertaining to the self. Obviously, if this story is indeed fabricated, the same motivation that a teenager has to do drugs is the same motivation the poster had to post this story. *I don't know about the whole fabrication issue though- and personally don't care about it..lots of stories aren't true anyway*

Fettslaab ji...apun ne sab check kiyela.....sala koi bhi fire nahi hua aise case mein.....bangdu ullu banaying sabko.....isiliye toh apun waisa bola. If an officer can get so called fired....why did his family go home instead of detailed *interrogation*. Come on now...of all the tons of import of pickels done by Patel brothers and others Desi stores done throughout the year, do u really think, this circus actually happened?

Miss Priyam, for such an articulate answer, that was right confusing. Do you mean that the confabulators that post here from time to time have something like an addict's compulsion? I can almost understand a person telling tall tales to draw attention to, and briefly aggrandize, his drab, lacklustre person; but if he's posting anonymously ?

Haha! Wow- that can be really misinterpreted. I really need to explain myself next time. Alors, what drives a teenager to drugs? Environmental exposure/some sort of peer pressure. In simpler words, what a person does to "look cool" and indeed "draw attention to oneself" to the point it becomes a second nature. Such self interest drives one to post falsely. Maybe I should compare the example to teens wearing ripped jeans for that has nothing to do with addiction. Desole pour la confusion.

Mais voyons, il n'y a pas de mal, de mieux en mieux, au contraire! Ca devient franchement emballant, cette histoire.
