Today, my mom was cleaning my room and threw my web cam in the garbage...I asked her why? She said "JU NEVER KNOW WHOS VATCHING JU...PEOPLE CAN DO THE HACKER"...I told her it wasn't on and she slapped me for questioning her. TMDL.

Today, my amee asked me to unload the dishwasher. As I was putting away all the silverware, I found 6 pink Baskin Robbins ice cream spoons in there. To me it was garbage, but to my amee they were for free and we will be using them as utensils to serve chutney with. TMDL

Today, my mom explained that she purposely sends my siblings with me when I hang out with my Bengali guy friend. My brother is 8; my sister is 10; I'm 19. She said she didn't want people to "talk". TMDL

Today, I was out shopping with my brother. I bumped into an auntie that knows my mom and I well (but not my brother). When i got home, my mom gave me the killer look and said "who was that bastard u were shopping with today!". Guess who had called mom today. TMDL

Today, my mom was complaining because I'm old (I'm 27) and still not married. I said, "Well if I was allowed to date, maybe I'd be married by now!" She said, "You didn't need to date but who's stopping you now, you're an old woman! Just make sure you marry whoever you date!" TMDL

Today, I wanted to go for a birthday party but parents said NO because the party is at 8 pm and my curfew starts at 7pm . I am 25, studying in the UK and I'm back for holidays and I still have a 7 p.m. curfew. Did I mention I'm 25, male? TMDL

Today, I realized that when if I mix in a few English words while I'm speaking Punjabi I make sure to say them with a fobby accent so that the uncle I'm talking to will understand what I'm saying. TDML

Today, we went for dinner in a big group of a dozen desis. While white people go dutch when the bill arrives, we all fought for 20 minutes on who will get the bill and our goodbyes lasted 30 minutes and was continued till the parking lot. TMDL

Today, I had my first Calculus class at university. My professor is Indian and speaks with an extremely heavy accent. The other students in the class complained that his accent is too thick and they can't understand him. Not only can I understand him, I find his accent oddly comforting. TMDL

Today I went to victoria's secret with my mom. She told me I was "besharam" for coming in such a "gaanda" store and that I could not buy any bras b/c they were all padded and expensive. She told me I should buy the 100% cotton bras from walmart like her. TMDL
