Today, after coming home for the weekend after being away on placement for 3 weeks, I got a lecture on how I don't spend enough time with the family. So, I cleared my weekend to do so. My parents' idea of family time? Asking me to clean the entire kitchen. TMDL

Today, my mum came home from my grandparents house and she told me my grandfather bought me a gift. I was shocked because he never buys gifts. I opened the bag and there was a white sweater 3 sizes too big for me from the cash n carry. He got them cheap in diff colours for all the granchildren. TMDL

Today, I caught a cold. I was about to have some Halls but my mom was like that stuff doesn't work. I had to drink milk mixed with haldi and ginger. TMDL

Today, my mom went to Dunkin Donuts for a muffin but instead of buying a cup of coffee there for $1.80, she walked 2 miles across town to a bank because they were giving coffee for free. TMDL

Today, my mom like usual blamed everything on the computer. I got the flu because I use the computer too much. My nose is big because of the computer. When I get sick its because I spend too much time on the computer. TMDL

Today, I can share this: for my mom's birthday, I bought her 2 shirts from Tommy. She then tried to pressure me into telling her the price. In the end, she snooped around, found the receipt, and 2 weeks later went back to Tommy to return them and re-buy them at the now discounted price. TMDL

Today, I went to take a shower but apparently the shower is making the roof leak so I asked mom how I'm suppose to get ready for school? She points to the bucket and cup in the tub and says don't use more then two buckets of water and that it would be fun just like taking a bath in India. TMDL

Today, I spent hours reading these entries and laughing and saying "omg same here" then my dad came into my room so I hid my iPod so that my dad wouldn't see the stories that were "innapropriate" or "insulting to desis." TMDL
